Many times, when we lose a close family member, we pack up their belongings in boxes. We store the memories away, sometimes forgetting what is inside. One day we find these boxes in the attic or tucked away in a closet. When we open them we discover objects, photos and letters left behind by our loved ones. These personal belongings create stories hidden in boxes, as some stories are unknown and there is no one around to tell you about them.
This is the story of Chaim(as) Kobrin(as), a violin player, a doctor, a member of the freemasons chapter in Tiberias, a physician in the Jewish British Brigade, a father and a grandfather. He left many objects and letters behind, but many stories were left untold. Through this personal family journey, we are trying to fill in the gaps in the stories through the objects that he left behind.
We are a father and a daughter, searching for our family stories hidden in boxes.
